What is?

November 28, 2017 is #BrooklynGives Day, a global day dedicated to giving back – a day to celebrate generosity and to give.

The Center for Law and Social Justice at Medgar Evers College was selected as one of the 20 organizations selected as beneficiaries of the #BrooklynGives on #GivingTuesday campaign! As a result, we are also one of the finalists for the Brooklyn Community Foundation’s Spark Prize, the only award of its kind to honor Brooklyn’s leading nonprofit change makers.

On Tuesday November 28, 2017, we’re participating in #BrooklynGives. This means that if we successfully raise $5000 on #GivingTuesday (the Tuesday after Thanksgiving!), then the Brooklyn Community Foundation will match us dollar for dollar!

The CLSJ team works tirelessly to protect our community in areas as varied as voting rights and voter protections, educational equity and ending systemic racial violence in policing. Your financial support on Tuesday 11/28/2017 means everything, so please give today!
